The Exiteers back rural community champions at 10th Helping it Happen Awards

The Exiteers celebrate rural community impact as Change Mental Health wins Working with Communities Award.

The Exiteers were proud to sponsor the Working with Communities Award at the Helping it Happen Awards 2026, held at the EICC on Thursday 1 October. Scottish mental health charity Change Mental Health was named this year’s winner.

Organised by Scottish Land & Estates, the Helping it Happen Awards celebrated their 10th year in 2026. The awards recognise the people, businesses and community projects powering rural Scotland.

The Working with Communities Award recognises organisations that work hand in hand with local people to create lasting, positive change. Change Mental Health was recognised for its outstanding work helping people across Scotland manage their mental health, build confidence and find support within their own communities.

Phil Morris, Co-Founder at The Exiteers, said:

“Sponsoring this award for a second year was an easy decision for us. Strong rural communities are the foundation of strong rural businesses, and the work Change Mental Health does shows exactly what that looks like in practice. Congratulations to the whole team on a thoroughly deserved win, and to Scottish Land & Estates on a fantastic 10th year.”

Peter Wright, Co-Founder at The Exiteers, added:

“It was a brilliant evening and a real privilege to be in a room full of people so committed to rural Scotland. Mental health touches every business and every family, and it was fantastic to see Change Mental Health recognised for the difference they make.”
